I’m Chris, the face and voice of FT in YouTube videos, blogs and vlogs in the form of ‘Farmer Ramblings’ and of course, the man behind the photography.
Fortunate to live on an 80 acre hilly farm on the edge of Exmoor that is probably best described as a ‘pretty natural private wildlife park’.
A love of natural beauty
I’m passionate about natural beauty and linking that with both still and moving images and love creating my ‘Tarmac Trails’ videos in particular.
Before moving to Devon 14 years ago I was an entrepreneurial Farmer who has milked cows, produced thousands of tons of wheat and used the latest tractors and combines.
Most of my time in Devon has been spent completely rebuilding the farm with new buildings, house and studio and not a little landscaping.
This was ‘hands on’ work from designing in the first place to digging holes and shovelling cement into the mixer.
A love of engineering
Motorsport featured strongly in the 90’s and that became quite serious, but led to some fantastic experiences and the making of many friends.
Remarkably a comeback to racing is a distinct possibility in 2021 – keep an eye on the news here!
Now though, it is my creative side that is coming to the fore…
A passion for film, photography & life
I simply love playing with cameras – I have since my early teens and try to keep up with the latest ideas and techniques, not easy as the latest technology is simply remarkable.
What else? Cooking is close to my heart and of course music is the essential life blood that pulls it all together.
Maybe most important is humour…a smile cures most ills.
And of course, That glass is always half full 🙂
